Introduction
The Convergence Summit brings faith leaders, church representatives, and thought leaders together around ministry growth and community impact. Its digital platform had to carry spiritual weight and survive a registration surge on the same afternoon. DM Solutions led UX and registration strategy; Creative Labs partnered with us to execute the WordPress build and load testing. Sign-ups rose 40% and session duration 50%.
Spiritual inspiration and infrastructure that doesn't fall over
- Two registers in one platform. The summit needed to feel genuinely inspiring — this is a gathering about ministry and calling, not a trade show — while functioning with the reliability of professional event software. Sites that chase one usually sacrifice the other.
- Traffic that arrives all at once. Event registration isn't steady load. It's near-zero for weeks, then a vertical spike when registration opens or a speaker is announced. A platform that performs well on average can fail completely in the only hour that matters.
- Content that changes constantly. Speakers confirm late, sessions move, schedules shift. Organisers needed to update everything in real time without a developer.
Design for the spike, then make it beautiful
DM Solutions led discovery, UI/UX Design, and registration flow strategy. Creative Labs partnered with us to execute the Custom WordPress Development and performance testing.
We treated the registration surge as the primary engineering constraint rather than a late-stage concern. Everything else — the visual design, the content model, the SEO — was built inside that constraint. A gorgeous event site that times out during the announcement is a failed project regardless of how it looks the following week.
More people registered, and more of them stayed to read
- Registrations rose 40% against previous years — the optimised sign-up flow removing friction at exactly the point where events lose people.
- Sessions ran 50% longer, with visitors exploring the programme and speakers rather than checking a date and leaving.
- Organic traffic grew 35%, with the site reaching first-page rankings on its targeted terms — reaching people who didn't already know the summit existed.
- And it held. No downtime through registration peaks.

Discovery & Analysis
Working directly with summit organisers, we identified what attendees needed and in what order: who's speaking, what it costs, when it is, and how to register — usually in that sequence, usually on a phone.
Competitive analysis of other spiritual and leadership events surfaced consistent UX gaps: buried schedules, registration flows several clicks deep, and speaker information that required scrolling past promotional copy.
Design
The interface pairs vibrant and calming tones with evocative imagery and bold typography — visual language that carries the summit's purpose without tipping into either austerity or corporate event convention.
Countdown timers and quick registration links create momentum at the moments when a visitor is closest to committing.
Development
Creative Labs executed the build in WordPress, chosen so organisers could publish speaker and schedule changes themselves throughout the run-up.
Responsive design was verified across devices, and load testing simulated registration surge conditions before the site went anywhere near a real announcement — the difference between believing a platform will hold and knowing it.
Testing & Launch
Usability testing covered mobile, tablet, and desktop, with performance re-verified at simulated registration peaks. The site launched with the registration path as the most tested journey on the platform.
