Introduction
New Wine Church is a faith-driven community in Lynchburg, Virginia with a flourishing in-person congregation and almost no digital reach. DM Solutions led brand identity, information architecture, and UX; Creative Labs partnered with us to execute the Webflow build. The result is a searchable sermon library, an interactive event calendar, and a secure giving platform — a site that respects the church's heritage without looking like it was built in its founding decade.
Honouring tradition while building for people who have never walked in
Two audiences with opposite expectations. Long-time members wanted the church they already knew — familiar language, famili

ar rhythms, nothing that felt like a rebrand of their spiritual home. Faith seekers arriving from a search result wanted to understand, within seconds, what this community believed and whether they'd be welcome. One site had to do both without either group feeling it was built for the other.
Tradition versus modernity, as a design problem rather than a debate. Digital-first church sites often solve this by picking a side. The brief was to do neither: contemporary structure and performance, with visual and verbal language rooted in the church's own heritage.
Scale the church didn't have yet. Whatever was built had to hold a growing sermon archive, an expanding events programme, and online giving — without a developer in the loop for routine updates.
Brand first, then platform
DM Solutions led discovery, brand identity, information architecture, and UI/UX Design. Creative Labs partnered with us to execute the Webflow Website Development.
We sequenced brand ahead of build deliberately. A church's identity isn't decoration on top of a website — it determines what the site is allowed to say and how. Settling the visual and verbal language first meant every subsequent build decision had something to be measured against.
A digital front door that looks like the church behind it
The balance held. The platform reads as both familiar and current — the heritage intact, the experience contemporary. That was the hardest requirement and the one leadership tested most closely.
Both audiences are served. Members reach sermons, events, and giving in a click. Faith seekers arriving from search find an immediate, legible answer to who this community is.
And it scales. Sermon archive, events programme, and giving all grow without a rebuild, and without a developer for routine publishing.

Discovery & Analysis
Stakeholder interviews with church leadership surfaced the vision for the digital platform and the functionality that actually mattered day to day. Audience research identified the two distinct groups — established members and faith seekers — and how differently each arrives.
Those findings set the content hierarchy: sermon streaming first, events and community second, spiritual growth resources third. Giving sits close to sermons rather than in a navigation corner, because that is where intent is highest.

Brand Identity
We designed a visual identity built around renewal, unity, and connection — the ideas the congregation used most often when describing itself.
The palette pairs vibrant tones with serene ones, expressing hope and growth without tipping into either corporate polish or dated religious convention. Clean, modern typography carries long-form sermon content and short-form event copy equally well.

Design & Development
Wireframes and prototypes established a structure that put sermons, events, and giving within immediate reach from anywhere on the site.
Creative Labs executed the build in Webflow, chosen for flexibility and for leaving the church's own team able to publish. The platform includes a searchable sermon library with both audio and video, an interactive event calendar with RSVP, and a secure giving platform for tithes and offerings.

Testing, Launch & Ongoing Care
Usability testing ran across devices and browsers before launch, with particular attention to the giving flow — the one journey where a bug costs the church directly.
Since launch, Proactive Website Maintenance & Support has kept the platform patched, fast, and current, so the ministry team's attention stays on ministry.
